Job Description:
AmeriPath has an immediate opening for a Sales Director in West Region. The successful candidate will be responsible to plan, organize and implement sales business plans and to supervise, develop, and mentor the AmeriPath territory sales team assigned to this geographic area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manages all aspects of sales and retention programs as it relates to the existing client base and retains responsibility for selling to large strategic accounts in the region
· Recruit, train, manage, and evaluate Territory Managers and Account Service Representatives
· Creating and developing sales plans for each member of his/her team
· Ensure revenue growth plans are achieved by working with Territory Managers to execute marketing strategies for both existing and new clients
· Plans and is responsible for achieving sales objectives, ensuring individual territory quotas are met, sales tactics are appropriately executed to increase territory and region market share
· Driving team member's individual sales quotas and regional revenue goals
· Coordinates, budgets, forecasts and reports all related sales activity consistently
· Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers
· Ability to travel approximately 70%
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Laboratory Sciences, Marketing or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Three to five years' healthcare sales and 3-5 years of sales management experience. Sales and service experience in a physician office or commercial laboratory environment desired. A demonstrated track record of successful sales and sales
